Saying Goodbye
(written by Candice Landis 1/26.2013)
Sometimes Goodbyes Are The Most Difficult Things
Wether Caused By Death Or Someones Choosing
We Don't Always Agree With It Or Understand
But We Should Always Trust That It's In Gods Plan
Either Way We Are Immersed In Feelings Of Grief
Our Hearts Crumbling Like A Fragile Fall Leaf
It Takes Time For Us To Accept And Adjust
To A Life Without Them, To Keep Living, We Must
I Remember When My Father Passed Away
When I Returned To Work That First Day
I Realized That The Rest Of The World Had Not Stopped
It Had Kept Going Even Though The Bottom Of Mine Had Dropped
It Was A Strange Feeling As My Whole World Had Changed
Yet Everyone Elses Seemed To Have Remained The Same
I Have Learned To Live With Out Him In My Daily Life
It Takes Tears, It Takes Patience, And Most Of All Time
Death I Think Is A Reward For Those Called Home
The Pain Is For The Ones Left Behind, Because We Know
Our Lives Will Not Be As Rich Without Them In It
We're So Sad We Don't Realize They Are Always With Us In Spirit
For God Has Called Them Home To Their Eternal Life
From There They Watch Over Us And Visit From Time To Time
Lving With Our Father In Complete And Total Happiness
While We Finish Our Journey Through This Earthly Mess
So Try To Be Happy That They Finished This Earthly Race
Keep Your Eyes On Jesus And Keep Step With His Pace
One Day You Too Will Find Yourself At The Finish Line
They Will All Be Waiting With Open Arms And Love Thats Truly Sublime
