The Key
by candice Landis ©2012
She’s Just A Woman Looking Back On Forty Years Of The Past
Shaking Her Head Wondering How She Ever Survived All That
Please Jesus She Whispers, Tell Me How I Made It Through
I Remember The Darkness And The Feeling Of Being Doomed
She Looks Up As A Voice Rumbles From Above
One Deep And Strong And Full Of Tenderness And Love
I Was With You Child, Through It All, I Never Left Your Side
When You Were Weary I Carried You, Together We Swam Against The Tide
Her Heart Is Filled With A Light And Warmth She’s Never Known
Jesus Enfolds Her In His Arms And Simply Says Welcome Home
She Smiles As The Chains That Have Held Her Down Suddenly Let Go
She Smiles Knowing That Never Again Will She Feel Helpless And Alone
Thank You Father She Sobs Falling To Her Knee’s
Thank You For Always Watching Over Me
Even When I Didn’t Know, Even When I Couldn’t See
I Realize Now Lord , Your Love Is The Key
I’m Here Child When Ever You Are In Need
All I Ask Is That You Believe And Live Your Best Life For Me
With Love And Kindness In Your Heart, Forgiveness And Generosity
I’ve Prepared A Place For You To Spend All Of Eternity
I Love You Father, She says As She Bows Her Head
I Promise You From Now On I Will Do My Best
I’ll Work Hard To Turn Away From Temptations Test
I’ll Forgive All The Hurts From The Past And Lay Them To Rest
Her Heart Is Filled With A Light And Warmth She’s Never Known
Jesus Enfolds Her In His Arms And Simply Says Welcome Home
She Smiles As The Chains That Have Held Her Down Suddenly Let Go
She Smiles Knowing That Never Again Will She Feel Helpless And Alone
