Yesterday I Saw You For The First Time In Over Twenty Years
I Was So Happy To Find You Again I Was Near Tears
You Are One Of The Few Positive People From My Childhood
You Never Ignored Me Or Made Me Feel I Was Overlooked
You Spoke To Us Kids And You Joked Around And Teased
I Always Enjoyed Visiting With You And Always Left Well Pleased
I Missed You A lot And Thought Of You Often Over The Years
We Lost Touch As In Different Directions Our Lives Were Steered
I Love Listening To Your Stories Of Growing Up As A Child
Almost One Hundred Years Ago, You've Been Around For Quite A While
Amazing How Far We've Come , How Times Have Changed
Yet Aside From A Few Extra Wrinkles, You've Managed To Remain The Same
You Still Have The Same Laugh And The Same Tone Of Voice
Just Listening To You Brought Back Memories In Which My Spirit Rejoiced
I Remember You And My Dad Talking For Hours Leaning Against The Side Of His Truck
As All Four Of Us Kids Ran Around Your Yard Chasing Lightning Bugs
Thank You Uncle Jack For Bringing Back Good Memories From The Past
It's Good To Be Reminded That It Wasn't All Bad
That There Were A Few People That Shined Their Light
You Were One Of Them , Sharing Your Laughter And Smile So Bright
