A Man Who In The Church Was Raised
As A Teen There He Was Saved
His Mom The Sunday School Teacher
Both Dedicated, Both Believers
Then Life Happened As it Often Does
Circumstances Came Along And Swept Them Both Up
Jesus Wept As One By One The Church Asked Them To Leave
Where Was The Love He Had Promised Them Eternally
Not A Soul To Them In The Church Reached Out
Their Problems Were Met With Condemming Stares Of Doubt
No One Heard Jesus's Painful Shout
As One By One His Children Walked Out
Today The son Walks His Path Alone
Jesus Watches , Quietly Beckoning Him Home
The Problems He Had Back Then Dealt With And Gone
He Keeps His Pace Steady As His Life Moves On
Returning To The Church Someday Is His Intent
He's Just Not Sure He's Ready Yet
He Needs To Find One Rooted In Gods Love
That When Faced With Turmoil Doesn't Turn It's Back And Give Up
Honest And Respectful , Six Foot Three With Eyes Of Blue
Mikel Our Father Never Stopped Loving You
You Yourself Know As A Father Of Four
Your Children Are The Ones You Love Forever More
Please Look Into Your Heart And Listen To The Lord
Trust In Him Enough To Take That Step, To Open That Door
He Will Give To You What You Are Looking For
He Knows You Inside And Out, And For You Has Planned So Much More
