My Mind Searches For The Words To Reach
I Pray Often For The Words I Seek
To Convey All That His Love Means To Me
To Convey Somehow Where I Was, Where I've Come To Be
I Was Born Into Generations Of Disfunction
To People Who Lived Under The Assumption
That Life Was Meant To Be Survived, Not Lived
They Felt They Had Nothing Of Value To Give
They Passed This Belief On To Me
I Grew Into The Person They Expected Me To Be
Never Reaching For More, Just Accepting My Fate
Feeling Unworthy And Alone Was My Permanent State
I Believed Myself To Be A Burden In Peoples Eyes
I Assumed Everyone Saw Me As Someone To Despise
Until One Fateful Day I Gave Someone I Shouldn't Have My Trust
Just When I Thought Someone Could See Me For Who I Truly Was
I Was Decieved And Once Again Lay Flat Looking Up
Something Deep Inside Me Cried Out, That's Enuff
I Cried Out To Jesus, If You're There, If You Hear Me, Please Lift Me Up
I Cannot Even Begin To Describe How He Began Filling My Empty Cup
He Heard My Plea And Led Me In The Right Direction
In My Heart He Performed A Ressurection
I See All That I Am And All That I Have Been Through Came From Him
I Had To Experience All That I Have Experienced In Order To Begin
I Had To Experience The Abuse And Make The Mistakes
So That I Could Truly Understand Gods Grace
So That To Others I Could Reach Out And Help Ease Their Pain
So That I Could Truly Understand His Love For Me And Grasp How Great
All Of These Things I Have Come To See
Through Our Savior Jesus Christ, Who Loves Us Eternally
I Look To Him Now In All Aspects Of My Life
I Trust In Him To Give Me The Love That I Seek, To Be My Trusted Faithful Guide
When You Reach That Feeling Of Helpless Abandonment
Look To Our Savior For Where You Are Is No Accident
He's Knocking At Your Door, Waiting For You To Let His Grace Come In
Let Him Love You, Lead You, Cleanse Your Sin, Place Your Eternal Trust In Him
