I Have Led What Some Would Call A Very Difficult Life
I've Just Started Writing About It And Figuring Out Why
I've Begun Attending Church And Am Building My Faith
I'm Accepted There, Flaws And All, There I Feel Safe
No One Judges Me Or Throws My Past In My Face
They Encourage Me To Move At My Own Pace
Point Out The Differences They See Me In Me Sinse I First Walked In The Door
They See The Changes In Me And I Feel Like I Am More Than I Ever Was Before
All Of This Had Led Me To Want To Do More
I Want To Share My Experiences And Maybe For Others Like Me Open Doors
Let Them Know They Are Not Alone In There Feelings Of Shame
There Is Hope, And Mercy Does Remember Their Name
Maybe My Words Can Help Them Stand And Fight
To Come Out Of The Darkness Of Negativity And Bask In The Light
To Leave All That Pain And Hurt Behind
To Cast It All Away And Begin A New Life
