Struggling Each Day Just To Survive
Body And Soul Too Numb To Fight The Tide
No More Pain Can You Abide
Thinking The World Would Be Better Off If You Just Died
Wait! There's One Thing You Haven't Tried Yet
You've Seen It Work For Others But Just Assumed You Were Exempt
Assumed You've Gone Too Far And Are Now Held In Contempt
No One Taught You Right From Wrong And Now You Have Nothing But Regret
You Want To Change And Be Better But It Seems An Insurmountable Obstacle
The Effort It Would Require Seems Phenomenally Impossible
You've Considered It Many Times, But You Have No Idea Where To Start
You Don't Even Realize The Reason You're Still Here Is Inside You Burns A Spark
The Very Reason You Have Survived So Much Is The Lord Is Lifting You Up
He Refuses To Let You, His Beloved Child Drown In The Flood
He Feels Your Sorrow And Your Pain But Can't Take It Away Until You Ask It Of Him
All He Can Do Right Now Is Help You To Swim
You Have To Open Your Heart And Ask Before He Can Come In
You Have To Acknowledge Him And Your Love For Him Commit
He Will Banish The Dark And Your Burdens He Will Lift
Petty Issues Will Cease To Matter, You Will See Great Beauty As You Rise Above It
There Will Be Times You Slip And Fall
He Understands This As None Of Us Are Perfect, That's How He Created Us After All
He Will Smile With Understanding And Love And Encourage You To Move On
He Will Rejoice In Your Efforts Knowing That You Know To Him You Belong
His Love For You Will Wash Away Every Single Stain
You Will Be Reborn Yet Retain All The Knowledge You Have Gained
You Will Feel So Clean And Loved And Blessed, You Will Be Truly Amazed
As You Are Finally Able To Love Yourself And Others Under His Loving Gaze
