Born Unto The Virgin Marry
Twas The Lord's Seed That She Carried
A Star Appeared Upon His Birth
A Shining Beacon To All On Earth
Jesus Was God's Gift To Man
As He Grew ,His Miraculous Works Began
Many Tried To Kill Him Yet Firmly In His Faith He Continued To Stand
Asking Us To Turn From Our Sin And Begin Again
He Went From Town To Town Crying Out The Good News
"I Am The Son Of God, He Has Sent Me To Help You!"
Performing Miracle After Miracle To Give Proof
"I Am The Son Of God, I Tell You The Truth"
He was Beaten Many Times, Called A Liar And Was Rejected
Betrayed By One Of His Own And Arrested
The People Demanded He Pay For His Lies
The Price They Demanded Was His Life
Many Gathered To See Him On That Blood Soaked Cross
Some Never Realizing That Greateness Of The Gift Being Lost
Even As He Bled From Wounds That Were Beyond Cruel
He Pleaded, Father Forgive Them, They Know Not What They Do
His Body Taken Down After His Death
Placed In A Rich Mans Grave For His Final Rest
In Front Of The Tombs Entrance A Heavy Boulder Was Put In Place
No One Remembered What Jesus Had Told Them About The Third Day
Some Women Went To The Tomb And Discovered The Stone Removed
Nothing Remained But Empty Linens, Then Gods Angels Appeard Giving More Proof
They Asked, "Why Do You Seek The Living Among The Dead?"
"Jesus Is Not Here, He Has Arisen!" They Said
A Great Cry Rose Up Across The Land When The Truth Was Realized
Jesus Spoke The Truth, The Son Of God Had Been Crucified
He Had Shed His Blood , Defeated Death For All To See
With His Lifes Blood All Of Our Sin Is Washed Clean For Eternity
This Is The Depth Of Our Fathers Love For You And For Me
He Gave His Only Son So With Us He Could Spend Eternity
Today On Easter Sunday, We Celebrate His Love And Generosity
We Walk In Faith Jesus Shining Your Light For All To See
