Once Upon A Time Many Years Ago On a Dark And Starry Night
Off In The Distance Appeared A Star Shining So Big And Bright
Twas The Night That Would Be Known As Christmas
The Star Appeared Beckoning To All People, No Matter The Distance
People Traveled From Far And Wide
Kings And Sheperds, And Men Who Were Wise
They Followed The Star To Bethlehem
Found There The Christ Child With His Parents Mary And Joseph
They Laid Gifts Of Gold, Frankencence, And Myrrh At His Tiny Feet
Everyone Gazed Adoringly At The Child, Even The Sheperds Sheep
Everyone Knew This Child Was The King Promised To Us By Our Lord
For It Is Written In The Scriptures And For This Child Great Things Were In Store
Our Lord Sent Angels To Guide And Watch Over Baby Jesus
Anyone Who's Plan Was To Harm Him Was Immediately Defeated
He Grew Up To Lead Us And Teach To Us The Good News
We Could Have Eternal Life If We Believed And Repented, We'd Be Brand New
Our Father Sent Jesus To Us As A Sacrifice
As A Sign Of His Love For Us And His Promise Of Eternal Life
Jesus Did What He Was Sent To Do, Never Faltered, Faced Every Strife
He Knew He Was Sent Here For Our Sins And That He Would Be Crucified
He Believed Our Father Would Raise Him From The Dead
He Believed He Would Rise And Be Taken ToEternal Life In Heaven
He Urged Us All To Have Faith And Never GIve Up Our Hope
He Performed Miracles And Preached The Good News Wherever He Was Told To Go
He Gave Sight To Blind Men And Healed The Lame So They Could Walk Again
He Walked On Water And Calmed Storms With Only His Hand
He Brought Back The Dead By Breathing Life Into Them
He Did All Of This So We Could See And Believe, And Still People Condemmed
He Did Not Hate And He Did Not Retaliate
He Urged Us To Believe And Be Forgiven So He Could Meet Us At Heavens Gate
Where He Would Be Residing With Our Heavenly Father Above
Basking In Eternal Life And The Warmth Of Our Fathers Love
Christ Was Then Crucified Upon The Cross
And Many Weeped At The Loss
When He Arose From The Dead They Stood Speechless In Awe
For Everything He Had Said Was Comming True .. God's Law
Many Were Convinced To Turn To The Lord That Day
Many Though Still Choose To Turn Away
He Watches Over Us From Heaven This Very Day
He Listens As We Bow Our Heads And Pray
As The Lords Children We Must Live A Life Based On Faith
Lead By Example Back To Him The Ones That Stray
And We Must Do It In His Gentle, Loving, Forgiving Way
So The Lost Will See His Arms Are The Safest Place To Stay
